Driving 10 minutes through majestic Beech Forests takes you to the delightful Norman town of St. Saens. Set in the grounds of the Chateau Vandichon, which is the Clubhouse, is St. Saens Golf Club. The Normandy Open is staged here in July. There is Seniors Challenge for golfers of all standards. The first 6 holes are played over rivers and lakes, the next 4 go uphill through the beeches and 7 holes are on the plateau which has been generously planted with beautiful trees. Hole 17 is exacting, and the 18th is a tough putt!!
